He's so close to being able to walk away from this. Mere inches from telling Dorian to fuck off and leave him alone. But something about this having thrown at him like he's the problem makes the vampire snap.
"She's your bloody girlfriend!" he snaps, turning back around so he can properly shout at the other man. "And I"m your goddamn soulmate, yet somehow it's escaped you for... what, over a year now? That something's not quite right here? I'd ask how you've missed it for all these months, but you don't bloody care enough to look past your own nose to fucking look for trouble." He groans and wrings his hands as he raises them to his shoulders dramatically. "God, the one time there's trouble about and you won't put your nose in it, and it's when I'm a part of it."
That might be unfair of him to say, but it certainly doesn't feel like it right now. He's been on edge since the first time he met Sin, and after the dust settled on their first major conversation as a group, Dorian stopped noticing or caring. Toby scoffs as he thinks about it and then throws his hands down in a dismissive manner as the looks at the other man.
"All you care about is that you've got what you want. My feelings matter when they cramp yours or affect you directly. If we'd had sex despite my frustration, you wouldn't have given a flying fuck after the fact if I was upset." He rolls his eyes hard. "You can't claim otherwise - it's happened more than once this month, and you didn't have a single goddamn clue."
